The VPD Police Athletic League and community partners are kicking off the annual P.A.L. soccer tournament today. The Vancouver Police Athletic League (PAL) is a youth crime prevention initiative that uses athletic, recreational and educational programs as a tool to foster positive rapport and mutual trust between police officers and youths.

With the partnership of the Vancouver School Board and Park Board, and the valued support of many local businesses and community members, it is guaranteed to be an exciting and rewarding tournament for the kids.
VPD Superintendant Andy Hobbs and Park Board Commissioner Sarah Blyth teamed up to help welcome the kids and kick off this exciting event.
