Victoria Police have asked the Vancouver Police Department to conduct an administrative review into the circumstances under which a firearm belonging to Angus Mitchell was seized from him in February of this year, and subsequently returned to him several weeks later. The firearm was seized during a Mental Health Act apprehension.
The review by Vancouver Police will also examine whether the firearm is connected to the recent tragic incidents involving Mr. Mitchell.
