Charges have now been laid against the man arrested yesterday after he was allegedly seen with a handgun near E. Hastings and Renfrew.
Twenty-eight year old Kris Anthony Andel of no fixed address has been charged with the following offences:
- possession of a firearm contrary to an order
- knowingly possessing a prohibited weapon without a license
- unauthorized possession of a firearm
- possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Andel is known to police and there is no information available regarding his next scheduled court date.
