Members of the Vancouver Police Drug Squad are on scene again today investigating a clandestine drug lab that was located yesterday in the Downtown Eastside.
On August 2nd, police discovered the small drug lab confined within one suite of a rooming house in the 100 block East Hastings Street. Working together with the RCMP Clandestine Laboratories Unit and Vancouver Fire Rescue Services, investigators entered the room and were able to mitigate the risk to public safety.
The room was secured and detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence.
Investigators have returned early this morning to dismantle the lab and gather evidence.
There was no need to evacuate anyone. There have been no charges laid at this time.
