The Vancouver Police Department is releasing the impaired driving statistics from the sixth weekend of the summer roadblock campaign.

VPD roadblock crews were out again looking for impaired drivers on August 2nd, 3rd and 5th. On those three nights, police administered 334 tests and issued 50 prohibitions. Of the 50 impaired drivers, 15 received Immediate Roadside Suspensions (IRP) “fail” sanctions, 22 received IRP “warn” sanctions, five received 24-hour prohibitions, two received a 24-hour prohibition for impairment by drugs, and six new drivers received 12-hour prohibitions.
