Vancouver Police are warning the public after several complaints of theft from unlocked vehicles at gas stations in the past week. Purses and cell phones have been taken from cars while their unsuspecting owners filled up with gas.
Investigators are looking for an older man, driving a newer model, light-coloured minivan.
Police are recommending that people secure their valuables out of sight inside their vehicles and to keep their car windows rolled up and doors locked, even while getting gas.
