A 35 year old Vancouver resident was taken into custody by the Vancouver Police Department following a tactical takedown at Oak Street and 41st Avenue shortly before 11 a.m. this morning.

The arrest was made after an earlier attempted bank robbery on Vancouver’s West Side.

Vancouver Police detectives and Emergency Response Team members responded and arrested the man as soon as it was safe to do so. Police are also looking for another man involved in the attempted robbery.

At this time the investigation is continuing. There are no specific details available for release.

The man is in custody and facing possible robbery-related charges.
