Forty commercial vehicles were targeted in yesterday’s commercial vehicle inspection due to their poor repair.

Of those 40 vehicles, 20 required various types of repair before going back on the road. Seven of the 20 were issued Notice and Orders, removing the vehicles from the road.

Fiften violation tickets were issued under the Motor Vehicle Act and/ or Regulations and six bylaw tickets were issued.

A commercial truck was pulled over and deemed to be undriveable by inspectors. The driver’s company decided to contact their own towing company to remove the vehicle. When the tow truck arrived, it was inspected and failed. Both vehicles needed to be towed from the site.
