Vancouver Police are investigating after a woman was assaulted by a stranger in the 600 block of Bucketwheel Avenue.

Shortly after 3 p.m. on September 17th, a 64 year old Vancouver woman approached a man outside her apartment building in the False Creek area. The man was wearing a white t-shirt, black pants or shorts, running shoes and a black or silver metal hard hat. He was riding a bike with a basket on the front.

The woman suffered a small cut on her face, as well as bruising and swelling from the attack. She was taken to the hospital for treatment and later released.
