Vancouver has recorded its 13th traffic fatality of 2012 as Vancouver Police investigate the death of an 88 year old man.
Shortly after 11:00 a.m. on September 19th, two vehicles travelling northbound on Hornby Street collided as one vehicle turned into a parking lot in the 1100 block. The driver of one of the vehicles was transported to hospital for what was thought to be minor injuries.
Tragically, the driver of that vehicle, an 88 year old Mission man, succumbed to his injuries on September 21st.
Police are withholding the identity of the man at the family’s request.
The driver of the other vehicle has been cooperative with investigators. No charges have been laid and the collision remains under investigation at this time.
