Charges have now been laid in relation to the stand-off with an armed man in downtown Vancouver at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel.
Twenty-seven year old Ranjit Singh Sandhu of Surrey has been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.
As the matter is now before the courts and still being investigated, there is no further information for release at this time.
Sandhu remains in custody until his next court appearance in Vancouver Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on October 19th, 2012.
