Thanks to two alert local business owners, Vancouver Police have been made aware of a potential scam currently making the rounds.
The businesses called police to report phone calls they received that they felt were suspicious. The callers claimed to be from Vancouver Police Magazine and asked them to advertise in the publication.
The VPD does not have a publication called Vancouver Police Magazine and the Department does not solicit advertising of any kind.
If you’ve been the victim of fraud and have given money to someone claiming to be from Vancouver Police Magazine, please contact your local police to report it.
