Vancouver Police have made several arrests and are currently executing a search warrant at an apartment in the 1100 block Quebec Street.
The warrant and arrests are related to the on-going efforts by the VPD to prevent the supply of cocaine into the Downtown Eastside and reduce the related violence that goes with it.
Shortly before 3:30 this afternoon, a 40 year old man associated to the Quebec Street apartment was taken into custody. The arrest occurred with the help of the VPD Emergency Response Team near Expo Boulevard and Smithe Street.
At approximately 4:00, investigators with the Vancouver Police Organized Crime Section entered the Quebec Street residence.
Two people have been taken into custody, but charges have not yet been laid.
The investigation continues and more information will be provided when details become available.
