The Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man responsible for this morning’s attack of a woman in Fraser River Park.

Around 9:00 a.m., a 52 year old woman was walking her dog in the area of West 75th Avenue and Tidewater Place when she was assaulted by an unidentified man.

The woman was dragged a short distance but managed to scream, drawing attention to her attacker.

The witnesses came to the woman’s aid, scaring off the man. He was last seen driving off in a dark coloured pickup truck.

The suspect was described as white with a dark skin tone, 5’7″ tall, with a medium build and black hair. No clothing description is available at this time.

The woman sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault. She was treated in hospital and has since been released.
