Update

Police are trying to locate a man after a series of violent robberies in Richmond and Vancouver.

Shortly after 7:00 this evening, a head-on collision occurred near 27th Avenue and Victoria Drive. One of the drivers fled as the car he was driving had been stolen in a home invasion in Richmond about an hour earlier where the resident was stabbed.

The suspect ran to Victoria and Kingsway where he allegedly tried to rob a man at the ATM. He then went across the street to a gas station and car-jacked a second vehicle. The driver received minor injuries, but was able to escape with his wife and their children, aged seven and ten, who were in the back seat at the time, before the suspect drove off in the stolen car.

The suspect is described as white, early 30s, 6′ tall, with a heavy build. He has a light goatee with stubble, short brown hair and was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

Police are looking for a 2002 grey four-door Honda Civic with a bra on the front and BC licence plate 360-SGR.

If anyone sees this car, police ask that they do not approach the car or anyone near it and call 9-1-1 immediately.
