On August 2nd, 2014, shortly before 4:00 a.m., a fire broke out in a vacant heritage house in the 1000 block Keefer Street. A home next door was also significantly damaged as the fire spread. The estimated property loss for the two homes is valued at $1.2 million dollars.
The fire is being treated as suspicious and appears to have been deliberately set. Investigators are looking for a man and woman seen outside the house shortly before the fire started, as it’s believed they may have specific details about the fire that could assist with the police investigation.
