2015 Police Dog Calendar

The 2015 Vancouver Police Dog calendar is now available.

The calendar, featuring photographs of VPD Police Dogs with well-known professional athletes, is funded and produced by the Candy Anfield Memorial Foundation. The foundation was created by retired VPD Sergeant Mike Anfield in honour of his wife Candy, a VPD officer who lost her valiant struggle with breast cancer in 2004.

The cost of each calendar is $10.00, and all of the money raised goes to the BC Cancer Foundation and the BC Children’s Foundation. Last year, the calendar raised $21,000, bringing the total raised to $100,000.

Members of the Canine Unit will be holding a sidewalk sale in the next few weeks. The public will be able to meet the police dogs and handlers in person while supporting this very worthy cause.

Calendars are also available for purchase online or at the following locations:

3585 Graveley Street
2120 Cambie Street

For more information, follow the VPD Canine Unit on Twitter @VPDCanine or go to the Vancouver Police Dogs Calendar Facebook page.

The Vancouver Police Department thanks everyone for their continued support of this fundraising initiative.

The Vancouver Police Canine Unit has 18 handler / dog teams, comprised of 16 constables and two sergeants, working 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The teams are trained in criminal apprehension, as well as narcotics, firearms and explosives detection.
