Shortly after 9:00 this morning, police received a call regarding a man carrying a rifle near 71st and Granville Street. The report has not been confirmed. Further information from the caller indicated that there was a “safety flag” in the barrel.
Police are in the area conducting an area search, and no one with a gun has been located. There is no indication there is a safety concern for those in the area.
