Two Vancouver police officers are being treated in hospital after being struck by a car.

Shortly before 5:00 this evening, the two on-duty Constables were crossing West Broadway at MacKenzie Street when they were both struck in the crosswalk by a westbound car.

One of the officers taken to hospital is currently undergoing x-rays and a CT scan, but her injuries are not life threatening. The other officer is being treated for what are believed to be minor injuries.

The driver has remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

The VPD Collision Investigation Unit has been called to the scene and will be looking into the factors involved and the cause of the collision.
