Police continue to search for suspects believed responsible for a rash of recent purse snatchings in Vancouver.

The first of nine robberies and attempts happened on October 30th, and have mainly taken place in the downtown core. The latest robbery occurred on December 12th. In most of the incidents, victims were approached from behind by a man who grabbed their purse and then fled on a dark-coloured bicycle.

No weapons have been used and fortunately no one has been injured despite some of the victims being knocked to the ground during the robberies. The series of robberies is being actively investigated and anyone with information is asked to call the Vancouver Police at (604) 717-9208 or Crime Stoppers.

Police are reminding people to be aware of their surroundings and to report suspicious people immediately to 9-1-1.
