Police are currently investigating a collision involving a pedestrian who was struck by a mini-van on Oak Street this afternoon.
The collision occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m. near West 15th Avenue. One man has been taken to hospital with head injuries. While the injuries are serious, they are not believed to be life-threatening. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Oak Street is closed in both directions to allow officers to safely investigate the cause and the factors involved. Commuters are urged to choose an alternate route.
