Police are asking for the public’s help to solve a February 24th purse snatching on Nanaimo Street.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m. on February 24th, a woman was walking down Nanaimo Street near Kingsway Avenue when a man approached her from behind and grabbed her purse. As she wrestled with the man to keep her purse, she was hit a number of times and was forced to let go of her bag. The robber was last seen running north on Nanaimo Street.
The victim, bruised and shaken, screamed for help and was assisted by a nearby resident.
The suspect was white, 30 years old, 5’9″ tall, with a medium build and he had stubble on his face. He was wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants.
