Vancouver Police are looking for a high-risk sex offender that is wanted Canada-wide for being unlawfully at large after failing to return to his halfway house yesterday.
Forty-five-year-old Keith Edward Caouette is a two-time federal offender having served 14 years for kidnapping and sexual assault with a weapon. He began a 10-year Long Term Supervision Order yesterday, and was placed into a Vancouver halfway house. He left the home at about 5:30 p.m. and failed to return for his curfew. Caouette has an extensive criminal record and is considered a high risk to reoffend violently.
Caouette is described as Aboriginal, 6′ tall, 300 lbs., with brown hair in a ponytail, and green eyes. He has a full sleeve of tattoos on his left arm, a skull band on his right wrist, and three skulls on his right bicep.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Keith Edward Caouette, or sees him, is asked not to approach and call 9-1-1 immediately.
