Vancouver Police are looking for witnesses to the potential luring of a 12-year-old boy in an East Vancouver park yesterday afternoon.

Around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4th, the boy was playing in Melbourne Park, located on Vanness Avenue near Melbourne Street, when he was approached by a woman who attempted to lure him out of the area. The woman was confronted by another adult, and then she left the park.

The woman was described as white, 5’7″ tall, 125 lbs., with blonde hair in a ponytail and protruding front teeth. She was wearing a dark jacket, a white tank top with red writing, faded blue jeans, and she was carrying a backpack with another jacket hanging off the side.

She was last seen boarding a train and getting off in the area of the Surrey Central SkyTrain Station around 2:30 p.m.
