Vancouver Police are searching for 45-year-old Jason Anthony White who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching his long term supervision order.
Jason White is also known as Jason Eugene Rindero and is a convicted high-risk sex offender. He was serving a federal sentence and was at one time deemed a dangerous offender after being found guilty of breaking into the home of a 74-year-old woman in Nanaimo in February of 1994, violently sexually assaulting and robbing her.
White appealed the dangerous offender designation and was eventually released on a long-term supervision order.
Police are asking for the public’s help as they attempt to locate and arrest White on his warrant. He is also a person of interest to investigators in last night’s attempted home invasion of an elderly woman in the Oakridge neighbourhood.
Anyone who sees Jason Anthony White, or knows of his whereabouts, is asked not to approach him and call 9-1-1 immediately.
