Update: July 31, 2024

Vancouver – A suspect is in custody and three people are recovering following a series of stabbings in downtown Vancouver last night.

Vancouver Police responded at 9:40 p.m. Monday to reports that a 33-year-old man had been stabbed in the back on Granville Street, near Nelson Street.

Minutes later, VPD received a second 9-1-1 call reporting that a 41-year-old man had been stabbed near Granville and Davie Street.

As patrol officers were responding, a 32-year-old man was stabbed near Nelson and Granville Street around 9:52 p.m.

A suspect was arrested downtown and is currently in custody.

There is no indication that any of the victims knew each other, or the suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
