Vancouver – Vancouver Police arrested a 16-year-old suspect for the alleged stabbing of a cab driver in the Downtown Eastside last night.
VPD made the arrest around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, after an off-duty VPD officer witnessed the stabbing near Main and Hastings. The officer alerted on-duty VPD members, who responded immediately and took the suspect into custody.
The 59-year-old cab driver sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was treated at hospital.
The teen, a Richmond resident, is currently in custody for aggravated assault.
