Vancouver – A 28-year-old suspect has been arrested by Vancouver Police and charged with multiple offences following a stabbing this morning in Kitsilano.

Vancouver Police responded shortly before 3 a.m. to reports that someone had been stabbed on a bus near the Burrard Bridge. When officers arrived, they found a 22-year-old man with life-threatening injuries. The victim was taken to hospital and is receiving medical treatment.

A suspect was arrested near Burrard Street and Cornwall Avenue by Vancouver Police.

Parsa Ganjizadehzavareh has now been charged with:

  • Aggravated assault
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Ganjizadehzavareh is currently in custody.
