Vancouver – Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help to locate 38-year-old Penh “Chad” You, wanted Canada-wide for multiple firearms offences.
The investigation began in April 2023, after VPD received a report You had threatened a woman with a firearm during a verbal dispute. He allegedly made several other threatening statements during the incident.
Investigators executed search warrants at multiple residences linked to You. As a result, police seized 11 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
On March 21, the Public Prosecution Service of Canada approved the following six charges against You:
- Possess firearm without a license
- Contravene regulation of Firearms Act
- Possession of unauthorized firearm
- Possession at unauthorized place
- Prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
- Fail to report lost or stolen firearm
You is 6 feet, 170 pounds, and has a medium build. He has short black hair and brown eyes.
