Update: October 13, 2025
Vancouver – Vancouver Police have released images of a suspect in a series of stranger attacks in Yaletown on Friday, and are asking anyone who recognizes the woman to contact police immediately.
“These assaults were violent and unprovoked, and as long as this suspect remains at large we fear the community is at risk,” says Sergeant Steve Addison. “It is our highest priority to quickly identify and apprehend this person.”
VPD officers responded just after 7:30 a.m. on October 10 to reports that a number of people had been stabbed along the seawall near David Lam Park in Yaletown. Three stabbing victims were initially located and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Four additional assault victims have since come forward, including another stabbing victim, a person who was physically assaulted, and two others who were not physically injured.
The victims are five men and two women, ranging from 23 to 59 years old.
“There may be additional victims we don’t know about, or witnesses who have important information that could help solve this case,” adds Sergeant Addison. “We’re asking anyone with information to call our investigators.”
The suspect is believed to be a woman in her 20s or 30s, with long, dark hair in a ponytail. She was wearing an over-sized black leather jacket, black pants, and possibly a leopard-print shirt or scarf. She was last seen walking east on Marinaside Crescent, between the Cambie Street Bridge and David Lam Park.
Anyone who recognizes the woman or has information that may assist investigators is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Major Crime Section at 604-717-2541.
