Vancouver – A suspect has been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm for allegedly attacking a woman in an apartment hallway last week in the Oakridge neighbourhood.
Vancouver Police responded at 9:00 a.m. on January 8 to an apartment building near West 41st Avenue and Ash Street, after receiving a 9-1-1 call about a man assaulting a woman in a hallway. Neighbours heard the commotion, called 9-1-1, and held the man until police arrived.
The victim, a woman in her sixties, was hospitalized.
Investigators believe the man and woman are unknown to each other.
Sanket Sanjay Karve, 34, has been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm.
