Vancouver – Vancouver Police are looking for witnesses and dash-cam video after a woman was hit by a dump truck at East Hastings St and Columbia St.
A 39-year-old woman was struck by a Black Kenworth Dump Truck pulling a trailer while crossing the street around 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday February 25. The woman was taken to hospital where she remains in stable condition.
“The driver of the dump truck continued driving westbound and may be unaware of the collision.” Says Constable Megan Lui. “Investigators have not spoken with the driver and are asking the driver, or anyone who saw what happened to call police immediately.”
The cause of the collision is under investigation. Witnesses, or anyone with dash-cam video from the area around the time of the collision, are asked the contact the VPD Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012.
