Vancouver – The Vancouver Police Department is investigating after a man was stabbed in the back twice in the Downtown Eastside.
The assault happened Wednesday afternoon when the victim was walking in the 300 block of East Hastings Street. He got into a fight with the suspect who then pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the back twice and walked away.
The victim sought help from a nearby business where staff called 911. He was taken to hospital where his wounds were deemed not life-threatening.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male wearing a grey hoodie and dark pants.
