Release: VPD investigates Joyce-Collingwood Skytrain Station double stabbing

Vancouver – A suspect has been arrested after allegedly stabbing two men at the Joyce-Collingwood Skytrain Station last weekend.

On April 25, at 6:06 p.m., VPD responded to witness 911 calls reporting the stabbings in the bus bay at Joyce-Collingwood Skytrain Station. Police arrived at the scene and discovered the victims, who were both bleeding after allegedly getting into a physical altercation on the bus with an unknown suspect. Both men were transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  The suspect reportedly left in an Evo rental vehicle before police arrived, but was located and arrested shortly after near Joyce Street and East 41st Avenue.

Police are recommending charges against a 30-year-old Vancouver man. He remains in custody until his next court hearing on April 30.
