Vancouver – Vancouver Police have identified and charged a suspect in connection with the assault of a 73-year-old man that was the subject of a media release issued yesterday.
On Monday afternoon, police received multiple tips from members of the public reporting sightings of a man matching the description of the suspect near West 4th Avenue and Vine Street. Officers attended the area and arrested the man without incident.
“We want to thank the public for all the tips we received in relation to this assault,” says Constable Megan Lui. “We were able to quickly locate and arrest a suspect.”
Paul Henry Desroches, 53, has been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm. He remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
