Vancouver Police are investigating the death of a 38 year old woman in the city’s 14th homicide of the year.
Shortly after 3 p.m. this afternoon, police got calls of multiple gunshots in the 6400 block of Bruce Street. Officers arrived to find the woman deceased inside a car. A toddler was discovered in the back seat, physically unharmed.
At this point, the motive remains unknown, but it appears to be a targeted shooting. Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and officers have been canvassing the neighbourhood for anyone who may have information or seen anything.
