One man is dead and police are currently treating his death as the city’s third homicide of the year.
Shortly before 10:00 p.m. on March 1st, 47 year old William David Floyd was involved in an altercation in the 1000 block Main Street after being ejected from the Ivanhoe Pub. Police were called and found Floyd unresponsive when they arrived. He was rushed to hospital by paramedics where he was pronounced dead.
The exact cause of death has not been determined and the investigation by the Vancouver Police Major Crime Section is on-going. Police have a 50 year old man in custody, but no charges have been laid
