Over 22,000 people have visited the VPD Cold Cases website since it launched on April 29, resulting in 26 tips so far for investigators to follow up.

“We’ve been very pleased with the response to the website,” says Sergeant Dale Weidman of the VPD Homicide Unit. “All it takes is one good tip and we can potentially solve a case.”

More photos have been added to the site, as well as several videos of Global TV news stories featuring some of the cases on the site, such as Evan Garber, Richard Chacon and Danielle LaRue. In addition, other cases will be added in the weeks to come.

The website presently features eight people, victims of murder spanning from 1981 to 2008. Despite lengthy, complex investigations, their killers have not been caught.
