Update: June 11, 2015

Karen-Lee Taylor was a bubbly, carefree 19-year-old, whose body was discovered in a Vancouver laneway in August of 1990.

Melanie Thomson was living in a women’s shelter in downtown Vancouver in September 2010, and she hasn’t been heard from since.

Craig Abrahams‘ body was discovered by a neighbour, who stopped by Craig’s apartment to pick up the cat he was pet-sitting in December of 1995.

What happened to these three people and who is responsible? For years, investigators have been trying to find those answers.

Vancouver Police have updated their Cold Case website www.vpdcoldcases.ca with the three cases, hoping the public will have some of those answers.

The Cold Case website was launched in April 2014, initially profiling eight cold case homicides. To date, the website has had over 92,000 visitors and has generated 36 tips.

“We have to use every available resource we have,” says Sergeant Dale Weidman. “Sometimes all it takes is one tip to crack open a case and solve it. Hopefully, people visiting the website will remember something, no matter how small, and contact us.”
