Charges have been laid, and the body found at a residence on Triumph Street has been identified.
On January 6th at about 4:30 in the afternoon, police were called to the East Vancouver building after the body of a man was found inside an apartment. About 15 minutes later, a man living in the suite was found by patrol officers near Wall Street and Dundas. He was taken into custody without incident.
Twenty-nine year old Kenneth Conrad Izzard is charged with manslaughter. The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Jeffery Scott Nasa-Dyke. He was last seen eight weeks ago on November 13th and reported missing to the Vancouver Police on November 19th.
The accused and the victim are known to each other and the homicide appears to be drug related.
Kenneth Izzard remains in custody until his next court appearance. As this matter is now before the courts, no additional details will be provided.
