Update: July 27, 2015
Investigators continue to probe the circumstances surrounding a death at a house in East Vancouver earlier this afternoon.
Shortly before 3:00 p.m., police and paramedics were called to the home on East 24th Avenue near Rupert Street. A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but unfortunately he did not survive.
The death is considered suspicious at this time and detectives with the VPD Major Crime Section have been called in.
It is still early in the investigation and no further information will be released tonight. Additional details will be shared as they become available.
