One man is deceased and detectives with the Vancouver Police Major Crime Section continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to his death.
At about 3:30 a.m., police were called to Station Street near National Avenue. When officers arrived they found an unconscious man lying on the ground covered in blood. He was rushed to hospital, but did not survive his injuries.
It is believed the man was involved in a dispute or altercation that spilled into the street after starting at a nearby rooming house. Police have taken several people of interest into custody and are in the process of interviewing all of them.
The deceased man has not yet been identified.
