Investigators are asking for witnesses with cell phone video to come forward as they continue to probe the incident at the Plaza of Nations yesterday that left one man dead.

Shortly after 2:00 a.m. on November 1st, two groups of men got into an altercation near the taxi stand at the Plaza of Nations at 750 Pacific Boulevard. A fight broke out and police received several 9-1-1 calls. When officers arrived, they found two men with serious stab wounds. One of those men, 25-year-old Jia Hong Chen from Burnaby, died from his injuries. The other 23-year-old man remains in hospital.

A third man who showed up at Burnaby General Hospital a few hours after the incident, also suffering from stab wounds, has been treated and released.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have any cell phone video showing the area near the Plaza of Nations between 9:00 p.m. on October 31st and 2:00 a.m. on November 1st, to contact the VPD Major Crime Section at 604-717-2500.
