Vancouver Police are warning the public that 53-year-old Dawson Davidson, a convicted sex offender, has been released from custody and is residing in a Vancouver halfway house. He has been deemed a risk to the safety of women, and must follow court-imposed conditions.

Davidson most recently completed a two-year sentence for sexual assault. The Correctional Services of Canada has assessed Davidson at a moderate to high risk of sexual reoffending.

Dawson Davidson is white, 5’8”, approximately 180 lbs., with long brown hair and hazel eyes.

Although Davidson has completed his original sentence, he is now bound by a Long-term Supervision Order, which means he will be monitored by parole and police officers, and will have specific conditions he must abide by while living in the community:

• not to be alone in any isolated setting with any female
• avoid sex trade workers and do not attend any location where sex workers are known to be
• curfew 9 p.m. until 7 a.m.
• no weapons
• not to attend the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, B.C.
•not to purchase, possess or consume alcohol or non-prescription drugs

Anyone who sees Dawson Davidson in violation of any of these conditions is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
