The Vancouver Police have arrested two men in the January 2016 murder of 40-year-old Christopher Kwik.

Police were called to a Granville Street apartment near West Broadway shortly before 11 p.m. on January 30, 2016, after Mr. Kwik’s body was discovered. The investigation into the murder continued over the next two years, and led to charges against those believed to be responsible.

Gage Edward McPake and Cody David Stuiver, both residents of Surrey, have each been charged with one count of second-degree murder. Mr. McPake was arrested in January and Mr. Stuiver was arrested on March 6.

“Homicide investigations are complex and often require a lot of time to piece together,” says Constable Jason Doucette, VPD. “These charges should send a clear message to those involved in serious crimes. Just because some time has passed, the police are still working to hold you accountable.”

Anyone with information about any criminal offence is encouraged to contact their local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
