A man and his missing dog were reunited earlier this week, but not before a life-threatening scuffle between the dog owner and the suspected captors.

The dog had been missing for a week when the owner found him on Granville Street. As he was walking away with the dog, the two suspects began verbally threatening him, and one of them pulled out a gun. The victim believed it was a pellet gun, and after physically fighting with the suspect, he managed to get the gun and toss it away.

Police were called to the area for a report that someone had been shot. Based on information from the victim, they located and arrested the suspect. A quantity of cash and drugs were also seized. It is not clear if the gun was ever fired, but no one was injured in the incident, and the gun has not been located.
