Police officers quickly learn that there is no such thing as a simple traffic stop – they need to be fully alert and ready for anything.

An officer recently on patrol stopped a vehicle near National and Terminal after he noticed the vehicle was being driven erratically and unsafely. He wanted to make sure the driver was okay.

When he walked up to the driver’s window, he noticed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle. A search turned up .22 calibre ammunition, an air soft pistol, and a loaded .22 calibre rifle with a homemade silencer attached to the gun.

The driver and passenger were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and firearms offences. The guns and ammunition were seized and the investigation continues.
