Late yesterday afternoon, a security guard at an office building on W. Broadway saw a man enter the building and try to take her backpack. She confronted him and a struggle over the bag ensued. She was pushed to the ground multiple times and the thief fled with some of her belongings.
The guard was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing and police are working to identify the suspect.
