It was Thanksgiving Day when a senior parked his scooter in front of a coffee shop at 495 Main Street and went inside. He woke up from a short nap to find his scooter gone, and called the police.
After hearing a description of the scooter on the police radio, a sharp-eyed VPD special municipal constable spotted the scooter shortly after, keeping an eye on it until back-up arrived. Officers moved in and arrested the suspect for possession of stolen property and the scooter was returned to the owner.
