Mid-afternoon on November 18, police received a report that a woman had spat on another woman and threatened to kill her near Burrard and Davie. Officers did an extensive search but were unable to locate the suspect.

When the victim shared her experience in social media, a second victim saw it and came forward to report a similar threatening incident that happened to her in late October. She was walking near Davie and Hamilton when a woman matching the same description began swinging a walking cane at her, and chasing her into oncoming traffic while yelling profanities. She managed to get away without any physical injury.

A third report was received by a security guard who responded to a woman causing a disturbance inside a business near Georgia and Thurlow late afternoon of November 18, and the woman allegedly spat on her.

Officers arrived and arrested the suspect for assault and an outstanding warrant. All three incidents appear to be linked.
